Our Technicians
Jess B.
Jess is a high school graduate of Poplarville High School. He attended
Hinds College where he majored in Agriculture and Veterinary Technician,
and earned his license as a Certified Veterinary Technician at
Mississippi State University. He also attended Pearl Community College
where he graduated as a Physical Therapist Assistant. He owns a 5th
generation Family Farm in Poplarville, Ms., where they still have the
original old stock of “Rakestraw” Pinewoods cattle, “Native” Gulfcoast
sheep, Pine Tacky horses, and Longleaf “Yeller Pine” Timber. He has been with Crooked Creek since
2001. He also manages Horse Stomp Ranch, which is a Seedstock ranch for
Registered Gray Brahman cattle and Golden Certified F-1 Braford cattle. Jess enjoys all aspects of the cattle
industry and also traveling.
Caitlyn T., CVT
Caitlyn has been a part of our Crooked Creek Animal Hospital family since May of 2022. She is a graduate of Hinds Community College where she majored in veterinary technology. Caitlyn has special interests in emergency medicine and equine medicine. Prior to graduation from high school, Caitlyn was a member of the Mississippi High School rodeo Association where she competed in barrel racing and pole bending. She enjoys making your pets feel safe and at home while they are visiting us at the clinic. Caitlyn and her husband, Wyatt, have two golden retrievers, Boozer and Levee, and a paint horse named Snuffy.
Gabbi W.
Gabbi has been with the Crooked Creek Animal Hospital family since 2014. She is a Pelahatchie native and graduated from Pelahatchie High School in 2018. She attended Hinds Community College, then transferred to Mississippi State University to pursue her career in becoming a veterinarian. She is currently attending Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine to obtain her doctorate degree.
Gabbi thoroughly enjoys working with each patient and making the clinic feel like home for your pet. She also has a huge passion for senior dogs. Most of the time she can be found floating around the clinic either working in the hospital caring for patients or up front greeting clients.
Gabbi is the oldest of three siblings and the daughter of Gabe and Lacie Walters. In her spare time, she enjoys showing Red Angus Cattle and baking. She is an active member of Antioch Baptist Church and sings on the Praise Team. Gabbi has two Red Heelers named Reba and K.C., a Yorkie named Zoe, as well as a herd of Red Angus cattle. She is the owner of Hilltop Cattle, a Red Angus Cattle company.
Most importantly, Gabbi enjoys spending time with her large family and friends. Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Hannah F.
Hannah has an associate of arts degree and a bachelor’s degree with a major in Biology. Her position here at Crooked Creek Animal Hospital is her first experience with veterinary medicine in a clinical setting. She has previously conducted research on endangered coral while in Belize in 2023. Hannah’s pet family includes two cats, four dogs, and five goats.
Eric A.
Eric has been in the veterinary medical industry since 2000. He has a wife named Tifeney, three children, three dogs, and one cat.
Melinda P.
Melinda lives in Puckett with her husband and four awesome boys. They have horses and dogs. Melinda has always loved animals and enjoys being able to take care of them at the clinic when they are away from home.
Bailee G.
Bailee recently joined the staff at Crooked Creek Animal Hospital. Following her graduation from high school in 2018, Bailee attended Hinds Community College, and she will be completing her studies in Veterinary Technology in 2024. Bailee has worked in the veterinary industry since 2021. She has a 4 year old pigeon named Elise and an 11 week old dove named Eloise.
Adrienne M.
Adrienne has been part of the family at Crooked Creek Animal Hospital since 2014. She graduated from East Rankin Academy in 2016 and earned her Veterinary Technology degree from Hinds Community College in 2019. She and her husband, Zach, have a daughter named Ada and a cat named Tortilla. Adrienne has a passion for animal dentistry and enjoys working on large animals.
Morgan B.
Morgan is a graduate of Hinds Community College where she obtained her degree in Veterinary Technology. She loves working in a mixed animal practice. She also enjoys riding horses and playing softball on the weekends.
Nicole W.
Nicole joined Crooked Creek Animal Hospital in 2024 as a veterinary technician. She graduated from Kosciusko High School in 2013 and is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster College Veterinary Technician program. Nicole has two years of experience working in the veterinary industry as a technician prior to joining the hospital.
Nicole has been married to her husband David since 2019; they have a son named Tripp. Their pet family includes a dog, Chase and two cats, Bob, and Jethro. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and hunting and fishing. Her favorite movie is “O Brother, Where Art Thou.”
Katelyn P.
Katelyn joined the team at Crooked Creek Animal Hospital in 2024. She graduated from
Brandon High School in 2018. Katelyn moved on to the University of Mississippi - Ole Miss where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Psychology in 2022. Katelyn has experience working as a veterinary assistant at Crossroads Animal Hospital in Oxford, MS and as a surgery assistant at Tubbs Low Cost Spay and Neuter Project also in Oxford. She also worked as an apiarist at Pennington Farms Inc.
Katelyn has two cats named Cannoli and Moonpie. When she is not at the clinic, she enjoys
beekeeping and collecting house plants for indoor gardening. Katelyn has helped raise over 900 honeybee colonies, and she sells honey locally with her family.
